GENERAL UNDERSTANDING
In These Conditions
- 'LCMSB' means Lady Cutler Melbourne Showboat, Lady Cutler Pty Ltd and the context requires, its employees or agents.
- 'Passenger' means any person or persons on the cruise by virtue of this ticket.
HERE AT LADY CUTLER, WE VALUE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR PATRONS. ALL OUR CRUISES WILL BE RUN ACCORDING TO THE CURRENT VICTORIAN GOVERNMENT HEALTH ADVICE. TO KEEP ALL PERSONS ONBOARD SAFE, WE WILL BE REQUIRING ALL OUR GUESTS AND STAFF TO BE FULLY VACCINATED. WE SINCERELY APPRECIATE YOUR UNDERSTANDING. WE WILL UPDATE OUR CONDITIONS OF ENTRY ONCE MORE RESTRICTIONS ARE EASED.

Pricing
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are subject to change without notice or liability.
Companion cards are not accepted.
Payment Method
We, LCMSB, accept all of the following payment methods. All payments must be finalised
14 days prior to the event date for ticketed events and 28 days for private events.

Bookings
- A non-refundable deposit of $2,000 for private cruises and 30% of the full amount for ticketed events must be paid to confirm the booking date.
- Full payment and dietary requirements must be made 14 days prior to the event date for ticketed events.
- Full payment for private events must be made 28 days before the event and all dietary requirements must be confirmed 14 days before the event.
By paying the deposit, the customer agrees to the terms and conditions, unless otherwise amended in writing.
Public Holiday Surcharge
Bookings for public holidays will incur extra charges. Please discuss with LCMSB sales staff to get a quote.
Minimum Age Requirements
- Guests must be 18 years or older for party events.
- Children (under 12 years old) are permitted on Family, School, and Community events. Children are the responsibility of their parents at all times. LCMSB's crew are not responsible for their care or safety. Life jackets are available for children and adults.
Cancellation of Event
- Cruises will go out in wet weather. However, LCMSB reserves the right to cancel or postpone a cruise due to unforeseen circumstances.
- In the event of cancellation by LCMSB, customers will receive a full refund of deposits or any money paid.
Transport
LCMSB does not cover customers' transport costs to and from the pick-up/drop-off wharf under any circumstances.
Accessibility on Board
Certain light and manual wheelchairs can access the upper deck through our stable vamp. Please note, there are no
disabled toilet facilities. Toilets require access by stairs to the main deck.
Smoking
Smoking is permitted
only on the lower level outside decks, with ashtrays provided for your convenience.
Catering
- Dietary requirements must be advised 72 hours prior to the event for ticketed events and 14 days for private events via info@melbourneshowboat.com.au.
- While we endeavour to meet dietary needs, LCMSB cannot be held responsible for any cross-contamination or issues with allergies.
Drinks
- No BYO drinks are allowed. Each adult guest must purchase one drink package for themselves, and sharing of drink packages is not allowed.
- A charge may apply if sharing is detected.
- Water stations will be available throughout the boat.
- Security may check bags upon boarding.
- The bar will close 30 minutes prior to the event's conclusion. LCMSB reserves the right to terminate alcohol service if patrons appear intoxicated and/or disembark guests at the nearest wharf.
Safety and Disclaimer
- All passengers participate in LCMSB cruises at their own risk.
- Disabled passengers cruise at their own risk and must seek medical advice beforehand.
- LCMSB reserves the right to refuse entry or eject any guest for bad conduct or damage to property.
Photographs
LCMSB reserves the right to photograph events for marketing and promotional purposes without notice, compensation, or payment.
Disclaimer
LCMSB's ability to meet obligations is subject to circumstances beyond its control, such as industrial disputes, accidents, or government restrictions. LCMSB is not liable for any loss of profit or consequential damages.
Marine Insurance
LCMSB holds
$500,000,000 AUD public liability insurance and complies with Transport Safety Victoria's requirements for operating a commercial passenger vessel.
Private Function Agreement
Booking
- A minimum deposit of $2,000 or 30% of the total invoice (whichever is greater) is required to confirm bookings.
- If your event is canceled due to a Covid lockdown or restrictions preventing the event from going ahead, we will offer a full refund, minus $500 for administrative costs. LCMSB is not liable for additional travel or accommodation expenses.
Quote/Invoice
- Quotes and invoices are valid for 7 days from the date issued. After this period, the quote/invoice becomes invalid unless confirmed by a deposit.
Final Arrangement
- The balance of the account may vary if guest numbers change. If guest numbers decrease by 10% or more, LCMSB reserves the right to adjust the price per person.
Band and DJs
- All bands and DJs are responsible for paying APRA and PPCA fees for any music played aboard the vessel. LCMSB will not cover these fees.
Time and Duration
- Extra cruising time will incur additional charges.
Safety and Security
- LCMSB may engage security protection services as deemed necessary, with 24 hours notice to the customer. Customers will be responsible for the cost of these services.
Set-up and Pack-up
- Bump-in is 1 hour before boarding, and bump-out is 1 hour after docking. Additional assistance may incur charges.
Damages and Breakages
- A $1,000 cash damages/breakage bond ($1,500 for Dance Parties) is required at the commencement of the cruise. Any damages incurred will be assessed and billed accordingly.
Decoration
- Decorations must not damage the vessel. Decorations like balloons and ribbons are allowed, but not crepe streamers or spider webs.
BYO Catering
- You are welcome to nominate your own caterer or BYO. Please refer to the BYO Catering package for details.
Ticketed Events Agreement
Group Booking
- A 30% deposit is required for group bookings, and full payment must be made 14 days prior to the event.
Refund, Cancellation, and Date Transfer
- Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by LCMSB.
- A $20 p.p. transfer charge applies if changes are made within 28 days of the event.
Cancellation
- Minimum numbers apply for shared cruise events. LCMSB reserves the right to cancel or amend services if necessary. If canceled, customers will be offered a chance to reschedule or receive a refund.
Food and BYO Cakes
- Guests may bring their own cakes for ticketed events. Please check event details for food inclusion.
